Nominations are now open for the Leeds Quality in Care Awards 2026!
The closing date for nominations is Friday 10th July 2026.
These awards recognise excellence and celebrate the meaningful difference made every day by individuals and organisations across the adult social care sector in Leeds.
About the awards
The Leeds Quality in Care Awards are delivered in partnership with Leeds Care Association and will aim to:
- Showcase and celebrate best practice in adult social care
- Pay tribute to those who have demonstrated excellence in what they do
- Recognise the hard work people have undertaken to improve care, raise the profile of care and inspire others to work in care
Shortlisted nominees will be invited to a celebration event on Monday 23rd November, where overall winners will be announced.

- Best inclusive recruitment and retention initiative
- Most innovative approach to supporting independence, choice and control
- Most inclusive service provision
- Digital innovation
- Excellence in end of life care
- Volunteer of the year
- Registered Manager of the year
- Social Care Nurse of the year
- Established paid care or support worker of the year
- New paid care or support worker of the year
- Unpaid Carer Celebration
- Outstanding contribution to social care
Please note, the Unpaid Carer Celebration is a non‑competitive category with no shortlist/winner as it is designed to recognise and celebrate the enormous contribution made by many unpaid carers across our city.
Eligibility requirements
- Anyone can nominate
- All nominees or nominated services must be working in, or delivering, a Care Quality Commission regulated social care service (with the exception of the Unpaid Carer Celebration category)
- The individual or organisation nominated must be providing services in the Leeds City Council area
- There must be no serious upheld complaints made against the organisation or the individual and/or adult safeguarding referrals or investigations
- Self-nominations will not be accepted

You can:
- Request a printable Word document nomination form,
- Submit a short video explaining your reasons for nominating
- Arrange a conversation with a member of the team to talk through your nomination
