Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) Funding Confirmed for 2026-27

The Department of Health and Social Care has announced that LDSS funding will continue in the 2026-27 financial year to support adult social care employers and their staff to undertake eligible courses and qualifications.

There are two separate, ring-fenced funding steams:

  • Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism
  • LDSS funding for all other eligible course claims

Eligible learning includes Leeds City Council’s Leadership Academy training opportunities, offering nationally recognised Skills for Care programmes and modules for current and aspiring adult social care managers. Find out more here.

Please note that funding is limited and subject to availability. Once funds are exhausted, no further claims can be reimbursed, so organisations are encouraged to book courses and submit claims as early as possible.

More information about eligibility and the claims process can be found in our LDSS Quick Guide.
